Wash the oranges in warm water and dry. Use your potato peeler to peel strips (or pieces) off the orange. I like to use a bit of the white of the orange with the peel The white of the orange is stronger and a bit bitter and gives an extra kick to the flavor of orange in a recipe, But, feel free to only take the top orange layer of the peel if you choose or to buy orange peel at your local store.

Once you have your slices or pieces of orange peel, the cut them into very thin strips, then cut across the thin strips to create small pieces of thin orange peel. These will be used as decoration as well as for taste. Let the orange slivers dry a bit on the cutting board or on a piece of waxed paper, then store them in a small container until ready to use.

If you are going to keep this peel for any length of time you might want to leave the orange peel slivers out until they are dried thoroughly before storing them in a jar or container.

Web clip art is clip art created for use on Web pages. This clip art has been created with pixels in GIF format for use as Web clip art. This Web clip art can, in some cases, be used for other purposes, such as scrapbooking, newsletters, or greeting cards, but changing the size of graphics created with pixels can cause image distortion. Shadowed images are for use on light or white backgrounds, while unshadowed images are for use on both light and dark background pages.
