Spring Fun for the Family

Spring is here, winter is gone or is on it's way out and the family is more than ready to enjoy some spring fun.

Find great family fun suggestions for both indoor and outdoor activities and crafts for the entire family to enjoy.

Go Fly a Kite
During spring you'll find some days that are exceptional kite flying days. Don't hesitate! Grab a kite, the kids, and head for a clear area to swoop, loop, spin, soar, dance and dive the day away.
Take a Walk
Take a walk in your neighborhood, a desert easement area, around a park, up a small mountain, or through a wooded area. Let the leaf samples, or plants to iron between sheets of wax paper. Look up information about the sample and create a scrapbook of the samples and info. Find instructions for ironing your samples between wax paper here.
Blow a Bubble
Put 1/4 cup of corn syrup into 4 cups of water, add 1 cup of Joy, Dawn, or other dish washing soap, and stir gently. Gather or make some bubble wands out of pipe cleaners or wire, or gather cookie cutters, slotted spoon, or other objects, find comfortable outside seating for the family and enjoy creative bubble breathing for a relaxing and fun family time.
Claim the Sidewalk
Buy everyone in the family their own box of colored chalk and have a sidewalk art day. Let everyone have their own sidewalk, driveway, or patio space to draw in. Art Suggestions: Children might want to draw rooms of a house for their dolls or a street scene complete with stores and houses for their matchbox cars. Draw outlines of trees, animals, and other objects for children to color in. An adult sidewalk art project could be to draw each family member as well as pets, aunts, grandparents, cousins, and so on. Have fun and be creative.
