Spanish Rice and Chicken

Chicken and rice combined with spanish seasonings and cooked in a skillet on the stove top, is a favorite from my mother's kitchen recipes.

Ingredients

1 chicken - cut up (or one package legs or thighs)
1 cup chopped white onion
1 green pepper cut in strips
1 cup Original raw white rice
2 8 oz cans tomato sauce
1 3/4 cups of water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon chili powder

Instructions

Cover the skillet and simmer for 35 to 45 minutes until chicken and rice are done.
Serve with a salad and bread.
