Where Children SleepIn most parts of America, children's bedrooms are not only a place for children to sleep, study and store their clothing, but is also their retreats that includes computers, gaming consoles, television and tons of toys. Many of American children's rooms are also decorated with various themes, are colored coordinated in their favorite colors and may even include their own bathroom.
Children's room typically start out as a Nursery with a crib, a changing table or a dresser with a changing pad on top, a comfortable chair or rocker for Mom, with curtains and blinds to darken the room during the day while the baby naps. The bedroom will from a nursery to a toddler's bedroom by switching the crib for a small bed that leaves plenty of play room for toys. Again the bedroom will probably change when a child starts school and needs a desk and computer for homework and room for friends to sleep over. The bedroom constantly changes and evolves as the child grows from a baby to a teen and beyond.
But, there are many children in the world whose bedrooms are very different than the bedrooms of most children in American. Some children share one room with their entire family and other children have very different and strange sleeping places.
